Terms of Use and Privacy Notice

Draft, pending review by a North Carolina attorney. Last updated October 15, 2026.

SOV Creative Marketplace ("SOV") connects working artists with businesses such as hotels, developers and healthcare spaces. These terms cover our website, your artist account and your application. Each project has its own signed agreement.

What we collect, and why

What we don't collect

We never ask for your Social Security number, tax ID, bank details or government ID in your application. When you're paid for a project, those details go straight to our payments provider, Stripe. We don't ask about immigration status, health or criminal history.

How we use your photos

You keep full ownership of your work. By applying, you let SOV store and view the photos you upload so we can review your application. Your photos are private. We only show your work publicly, or to a business, if you're approved and you say yes.

Who we share with

We never sell your personal information, and we never share it for advertising.

Your choices

From your dashboard you can see and edit your information, change your optional choices and download a copy of your data. You can also ask us to delete your account and application at any time (except anything we're legally required to keep) by writing to founder@sovcreativebrokerage.com.

Keeping it safe

Only you and the SOV team members who review applications can see your information. If there's ever a breach that affects you, we'll tell you quickly and notify the North Carolina Attorney General's office as state law requires.

The basics of using SOV

  1. SOV is for people 18 and older.
  2. Keep your password private and let us know if you think someone else has used your account.
  3. Applying is free. It doesn't guarantee work or a spot in the network. Approved artists sign an Artist Network Agreement before any project.
  4. SOV connects artists with businesses and helps manage projects. We're not your employer or your exclusive agent. You stay independent and keep your own clients.
  5. Artists never pay to apply or to be in the network. Businesses pay SOV's fee, and it never comes out of your fee.
  6. Please only share work you made or have the right to share, and keep your information accurate.
  7. If something goes wrong between us, we'll talk it through first, then try mediation before anything else.
  8. If we make a big change to these terms, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
